The 20th International Course on Perforator Flaps is coming to Hong Kong.
The first ever ICPF was organized in Gent, Belgium 20 years ago, when the use of perforator flaps in reconstructive surgery was in its early phase. Now, perforator flaps are mainstream and the meeting has grown into a major international forum.
The unique feature of the ICPF has remained the same throughout – an outstanding International Faculty shares their knowledge with friends interested in perforator flap surgery – exchanging surgical tips and tricks, techniques etc in a friendly atmosphere. There are authoritative lectures by the faculty, roundtable discussions and live surgeries to observe. This is then followed by a cadaveric dissection workshop with a high instructor to attendee ratio. This year we will also have free paper sessions with Best Paper Prizes.
There will be a lecture symposium on Breast Reconstruction and Lymphoedema Surgery on the 11th and 12th November. We have a strictly limited number of free places for this symposium – first come first served.
This year's venues are the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, the teaching hospital of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Anatomy Laboratory of the Hong Kong University. There is no conference hotel per se, but there are several excellent hotels in close proximity that we have made some block pre-bookings with special rates that you can consider. You can stay farther afield and the cheap and efficient Mass Transit Railway (MTR) will bring you in from further out to the stop just in front of the hospital.
The Gala Dinner will be held at the ballroom of the prestigious and exclusive members-only Hong Kong Jockey Club Shatin Racecourse. The food and service is excellent, and drinks are free-flowing! We will charge an amount that is a fraction of the cost if you register as an Early Bird – your ticket will contain a contribution to our chosen charity, the Hong Kong Children's Skin Foundation that primarily looks after children with Epidermolysis Bullosa. After the Early Bird period expires, the Gala Dinner ticket is charged at full cost.
Early Bird prices have been held over from the 2017 course in Gent! Register now to take advantage.
